Fourth Foto Find

Nearly forever ago, Kelly tagged me in a little photo-meme, and because I'm clearly too busy to post a single picture, I've delayed...and delayed...and delayed... :o)

But here I go. My Fourth Photo.

(Ooh, I shoulda done this on July 4th. Dang.)

Anyways, the idea is this: you go to your My Pictures folder, and open the 4th folder, and post the 4th picture.  Which is a bit confusing for me because of how my My Pictures folder is organized.  See, the 4th folder in there is from when my best friend, Angela, visited us in England...which, in and of itself, is just fine. Except that there are 5 folders within that one folder.

SO...here is the 4th photo in the first album. I give you a pile of rocks.
And, when I opened the 4th folder, this is the 4th picture. A girl could really lose her head here...
There were SO many more awesome photos that Ang took that trip! These two are WAY on the bottom of my list of favorites.  It's hard to believe that was 4 years ago. Oh, how our lives have changed!
And, because I know that it will be my head on the Tower fence if I don't post an obligatory Mookie photo, or five, here are the ones that would appear if I did this meme just in the folder of Mookie-shots:
1. First Folder (Year One) 4th picture in 1st folder..."Birth Day" folder...this was taken a few hours before Mookie was born. OHMYGOSH how different I look. Wowzers, Batman.
***Warning to the family...there's a picture of Mom coming up...I just didn't want to catch you off guard***
2. First Folder (Year One) 4th picture in 1st folder of 4th folder..."Mom and Mookie"
3. First Folder (Year One) 4th picture in 4th folder (not in another folder)..."3 Weeks Old"... Mookie on a blanket. So teeny. So unbelievably teeny.
...BIG jump...
4. Fourth Folder (Year Two) 4th picture in the 1st folder..."12-13 Months"...I think you've seen something similar to this one, but this is the 4th photo in that folder, so you get to see it again.
Whew! That was arduous!
And, finally, the most recent shot I've taken of Mookie...the fascinating pinwheel...

And with that, I bid you adieu and wish you a wonderful weekend.

Phun Photo Phriday (even though it's only Tuesday)

(Because I am SO wishing it was already Friday)
(Can I boycott "time zones" and "daylight savings time" changes?)
(Because they're hard on a mama)

We are getting a passport for Mookie because we are going to England for Dave's Awards (read: graduation) Ceremony from the university. YAY!!!  It will be awesome to be back and see our old friends (and our young friends, too, of course). I also plan to go to Tesco and buy some Comfort fabric conditioner pearls...which are the dreamiest little bundles that you put in the washer drum rather than a liquid that gets all oopy and globbed up. They also make your clothes smell good for weeks. WEEKS, I tell ya. What? An extra suitcase for laundry enhancers? I see nothing wrong with that!

Where was I?

Oh, right. The Passport. More importantly, the passport photo. I've inquired a bit, and it seems places want to charge quite a lot of money for a set of passport photos. I've got a camera right here that takes pretty good pictures of Mookie, so I figured I'd give it a go (as they say in England).

182 photos later.

(I put the camera on continous mode, and hope against hope that I get at least one good one!)

Here are some of the outtakes. Mookie-licious was none too happy to be strapped in her high chair with a sheet behind her. But you'll see that. Loud and clear.

Giggle away:

I don't wanna be here, Mama.
Pick me up, Mama. I'll hug you good and snuggly-like.
Yaawwwnn. This photo shoot is boring.
Please, Mama? Pick me up?
Aw, Mama. This just isn't fair!
I'm gonna try to reach up and grab the ceiling and pull myself out of this dang chair.
Mama, I'm being really cute. Doncha wanna hug me?
Ooh. Food. Thanks, Mama.

Whadda you lookin' at? Eh?
Wish I may, wish I might, get outta this chair in a flash of light.

There are actually a few good ones that I'm going to try to make work for the passport photo. Hopefully the passport agency will accept my photos and not demand that I pay their fee.

Let's all have a great week!

And, to all you babies out there reading this, sleep in a little late for your mamas this week, okay? Thanks.

Phun Photo Phriday

I've had a few emails about the photo in the February Desktop (from Tuesday's post) so I thought I would put the entire, uncropped original here, along with some other phun photos I've taken this week.

First, the story. In our hotel, the closet doors are mirrors from floor-to-ceiling, and Mookie thinks those doors are just about the best things to play with since she discovered shoe bottoms and lamp cords. So, needless to say, she spends quite a bit of time talking and playing with the baby-in-the-mirror. :o)

I found this hat in the suitcase from our trip to Michigan, and this time, she didn't rip it right off! She gave me about 4.5 precious minutes of photo time...and I took advantage of it. :o)

So, here it is. Enjoy! :o)
Here are two others from that same time period, although the second one is after she'd shed the white hat and donned the fruity hat.
She's a Cutie PaFruitey, no?
Teach 'em early, is what I say. Ten and two, Mookie. Ten and two.
And, just in case you think she's always smiling, here's proof to the contrary...
And...

Who, me??

Hope you have a great weekend!

Phun Photo Phriday

I know it's late on Friday, but I've taken some cracker-uppers these last couple of days and I wanted to share them!

Rawk On! We're Number ONE, duuude!
(neveryoumind that Mama and Papa's teams kinda sucked rotten pond scum this year...we're obviously practicing for next year)

Mmmm. I think it needs just a bit more salt. Not bad, though.
Mama! MamamamamamaMAMA! There's something growing on my face!
(she decided to eat her pears through her "motorboat" mouth, and this was the hilarious result)
I lllllllove you, Mama.
..98...99...100. Whew, these push-em-ups are hard work!
Hope your week went well and you took the time to laugh a little. :o)

Phun Photo Phriday

Mookie and I have had some fun this morning getting ready for Christmas. I can't reveal much, and I won't reveal the best, but suffice it to say that our fun involved one nekked babe and one wee Santa hat. 84 clicks later, and we just might have usselves a Christmas card.

Hope you're having a great weekend!
